He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard F. Austin and Emma Lessie Wilkerson Austin; his siblings, Emmett Austin and Josephine Drawdy; and his children, Ernest Darrel Austin and Patricia Averitt.
He is survived by: his wife Minta Noreene Austin; and his children, Linda Diane Clark, Susan Pardon, Terri Austin Sherrill (Darrin), Lee Austin (Kathryn) and James Phillip Austin. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
