He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Reedie and Ethel Dobbs; and his brothers, J. R. (Jimmie Ruth) and Douglas Dobbs (Shirley). He is survived by: his siblings, Melba Burdette, Thelma Dobbs, Shirley Smith (Bill), Donna Williams and Steve Yeargan. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and dear cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Shiloh Baptist Church Perpetual Care Fund.
