He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. Dawson and Barbara Sue Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Johnston; his children, Claudia Sue Dawson, Samual Dawson (Hannah), Jacob Dawson and Jayden Dawson; his stepdaughter Destiny Fountain; his granddaughter Olivia Dawson; and his siblings, Travis Dawson (Cindy), Randy Dawson (Sherri) and Lisa Dawson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
