He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy F. Higgins and Ruth Rollins Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Ladene Higgins of Clanton; his brother Byron Higgins (Debbie) of Clanton; his sister-in-law Ruth Benton of Montgomery; and his sibling's children, Edward, Cameron, Cassie, Tracy, James, Dianne, Brenda, Ali, Abbey and Cael.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pinedale Assembly of God Church in Clanton.
