With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Wayne Payton of Clanton, Alabama, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Payton and James Alvin Payton. He is survived by: his son Jimmy Bradley Payton (Karin); his girlfriend Michelle Johnson; his sisters, Peggy Cox, Joann Headley and Jenny Sumrall; his grandchildren, Reece Payton, Hollis Ann Payton and Layna Payton; and his close friends, Bradley Sherrill and Cameron Sherrill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society.
