She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Winfield Giles and Claudia Etta Little Giles; her husband William "Billy" Simmons, Sr.; her daughter Melissa Lockhart; her grandchildren, Brandon Lockhart, Brian Jones and Heaven Jones; and her brothers, Luther Giles and Lamar Giles.
She is survived by: her close friend Harold McNeal of Shelby; her children, Cathy Headley (Danny) of Clanton, Stevie Jones of Clanton, Douglas Jones (Troy Martin) of Tucker, GA, James Simmons (Katie) of Clanton, Lolita Hoggle (Johnathon) of Clanton, Windy Cleckley (Rodney) of Shelby and William Simmons, Jr. of Clanton; and her sister Mary Etta Hayes of Clanton. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
