He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jimmy" Sloan and Clara Mae Luffey Sloan; and his wife Nancy Witter Sloan. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan L. Hamman (Michael) of Strawberry Plains, TN and Shelly M. Walsh (David) of Clanton; his grandsons, Matt Dottl (Angela) of Gansevoort, NY, John D. Walsh (Katheryn) of Clanton, Bradley Benton of Strawberry Plains, TN and James A. Walsh (Jessica) of Navoo; and his great grandchild Jaxson Thomas Walsh of Navoo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
