With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny James Mims of Clanton, Alabama, who passed away on July 29, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Little Mims; his parents, William Perry Mims and Rosa Cleckler Mims; his brother Richard Mims; and his great grandchild Riley Mims.

He is survived by: his sons, Allen Mims (Rose), Dennis Mims (Tracy) and Jon Mims (Wendy); his grandchildren, Matthew Mims, Emily Burnett, Karleigh Smith, Ashley Askew (David), Sam Mims, Dorothy Mims and Anna Mims; and his brother Lloyd Mims (Paula Mims). He is also survived by 6 Great Grandchildren.
