He is survived by: his sons, Mike Hays (Martha) and Jim Hays; his daughter-in-law Carol Dedman; his grandsons, Henry Hays (Cherry) and Michael Hays (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Adalyn Cordle and Carson Cordle; and his sister Barbara Buckner (Howard "Buck").
