She was predeceased by: her parents, Stell Gilliland and Arah Maddox Gilliland; her husband Walter Junior Popwell; her granddaughter Wendy Popwell; and her siblings, Gene Gilliland and Pam Gilliland Bush.

She is survived by: her children, Danny A. Popwell (Glenda), Charlotte Easterling (Edwin) and Christy Manning (Ernest); her grandchildren, Johnny Mims, Allen Popwell, Al Manning, Todd Manning, Tina Corley, Kim Smith, Cindy Pierce and Julie Manning Craft; and her siblings, Carolyn Popwell, Don Gilliland and Jerry Gilliland. She is also survived by 20 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granchild.
