She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Bice and Marietta Bice; her husband Carl Houston McDowell, Sr.; and her son Carl Houston McDowell, Jr.. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Michael Henry Collins (Kris) and Kitty Collins Hunt.
