He was predeceased by: his parents, Miles Benson and Ollie Benson. He is survived by: his children, Julia Courtney (Marty), Melanie Payton (Allen), Neil Benson (Judy) and Phillip Benson (Yvonna); his grandchildren, Roddy Payton (Lindsay), Clay Courtney, Elizabeth Whipple (Brian), Ashley Driskill (Mark), Mary Beth Easterling (Adam), Kristin Clements (Van), Jessica Ellison (Cody), Malley Bonds (Jonathan) and Seventeen; his brother Harry Benson; his wife Dorothy Ann Benson; and his brothers, Bill Benson, Charles Benson and Jim Benson. He is also survived by Seventeen Great-Grandchildren.
