He is survived by: his wife Audrey Hughins; his children, Andrea Wakefield (Tim), Pate Hughins, III, Nicholas Hughins (Tiffany) and Jacob Hughins; his grandchildren, Caleb Wakefield (Jordan), Cassie Ray (Logan), Cayleen Wakefield, Gracie Hughins, Graylin Hughins and Grayanna Hughins; and his great grandchildren, Truett Ray (Future) and Anna Caton Ray.

The National Cemetery will only allow a few flowers at the cemetery, the family request that donations be made to Gideon's International in Loving Memory of Rev. Pate Hughins, Jr.
