He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. "Bill" Bavar and Alphia Cleo Ratliff Bavar; his son Phillip Bavar; and his siblings, Charles Bavar and Hazel Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Regina Underwood (Keith) of Clanton and Rebecca Aguilar (Hector) of Anahuac, TX; and his grandchildren, Layne Plaisance (Christopher), Nathan Prince and Dustin Gore (Amber). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family members and many dear friends.
