He was predeceased by: his parents, Elzie Floyd Patterson and Ruby Pearl Varden Patterson; and his siblings, Doris Patterson, Donald Patterson and Gordon Patterson.

He is survived by: his sisters, Geraldine Patterson Thomas of Gardendale and Sheila Patterson Langston of Jemison; and his siblings' children, Kristy Spann of Mt. Olive, Misty Traffica of Gardendale and Kennon Patterson of Rockford.

The family request in lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Chestnut Creek Cemetery Fund.
