He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Howell Threlkeld and Helen Carmichael Threlkeld. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Alred Threlkeld; his children, Leslie Threlkeld (Cortney Bryant), Drew Threlkeld and Emmajean Threlkeld; and his siblings, Albert Threlkeld (Lori) and Donna Velasquez (Daniel).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Robert's honor to the Ascension St. Vincent's Foundation, Chilton at stvfoundation.org.
