He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Bowers and Alice Bowers; his wife Frankie; his children, Barbara Bowers Brewi (Bill) and Robert Bowers, Jr. (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Jay Stauffer, Margaret Stauffer Burch (Hunter), Jessica Bowers Hopson (Josh) and Hunt Bowers (Reed).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to consider a gift to the First Baptist Church Choir, the American Heart Association or the charity of their choice.
