Though Vera may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Vera touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lee Chandler and Dorothy Nell Chandler; and her siblings, Rose Marie Chandler and Julius Chandler. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Kathy Driver of Verbena; and her sibling's children, Denise Driver of Verbena, Sherry Driver of Verbena and Tim Chandler of Thorsby. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home (1709 Lay Dam Rd, Clanton, AL 35045). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 364 Co Rd 55, Clanton, AL 35046.
