He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Varden and Lurleen Ellison Varden; his wife Linda Varden; and his siblings, George Varden, Renfroe Varden, Junior Varden, Jackie Varden, Shirley Smitherman and Betty Hughes.
He is survived by: his children, Chace Varden (Rhonda) of Clanton and Christy Gray (Allen) of Jemison; and his sisters, Doris Maddox of Clanton, Helen Varden of Knoxville, TN and Cathy Tracy of Clanton. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.
