It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Shaddix of Clay, Alabama, born in Delta, Alabama, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Yates Shaddix; his parents, Cleveland Dee Shaddix and Gladys Latham Shaddix; his son William Lee Shaddix; and his siblings, Joan Hughes, Carter Shaddix and Judy Jarrett.
He is survived by: his children, Cyndee Calloway (Joey) of Clanton, Joy Woods (Mike) of Vestavia and Alan Shaddix (Staci) of Pell City; his grandchildren, Chance Calloway (Amy) of Clanton, Tanner Jennings of Sacramento, CA, Anna Shaddix of Atlanta, GA, Erica Shaddix of Pell City, Noah Woods and Ethan Woods of Mount Olive; and his great grandchild Ryan Cleckley of Clanton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
