She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Strickland and Clara Strickland; her children, Gary Waters, John Waters and Elaine Keith; her siblings, Leon Strickland, Carl Strickland and Florine Shadwick; her son-in-law Ernie Maye; her grandson Colby Maye; and her brother-in-law Bud Shadwick.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Waters; her daughter Dede Maye of Clayhatchee, AL; her grandchildren, Cassie McGraw (Jason) of Moody, AL, Jamie Altgilbers of Moody, AL and Chris Maye of Moody, AL; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Jillian, Adelei, Jameson, David, Madison and Mackenzie; her pet Little Bit; Adam. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
