She was predeceased by: her parents, Findley Thomas and Ruby Thomas; her husband Ross McKnight; and her siblings, Bobby Thomas and Betty Pierce.
She is survived by: her sons, Keith McKnight of Coker, Alabama and Ben McKnight (Lisa) of Coker, Alabama; her sisters, Nell Fair and Bland Strickland; her grandchildren, Stephen McKnight (Jenae), Jonathan McKnight (Alexis), Emily Skelton (Brylan) and Nathan Ross McKnight (Katie); and her great grandchild Jack Skelton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
