He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. McNew Sr. and Reba Burke McNew; his sisters, Peggy Bailey, Faye Brown and Margaret Walker; his son Daniel McNew; and his brother George McNew Jr. (Teresa McNew).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Walling (Robert), Ashlie Bridges (Shannon), Nickey McNew and Micah McNew; his siblings, Joye Rowan and Billy McNew (Maxine); and his grandchildren, Jessie Moreland, Damon McNew (Sara), Elijah Cagle, Zoie Cagle, Khloie McNew and Emily Sutter.
