He is survived by: his wife Kristal Mooney Thompson; his children, Cody Joseph Thompson, Jr. (Joe), Thomas (Tommy), Blake Mooney (Jordan), Katie Thompson and Maribal Cruz; and his grandchildren, Jasmine Thompson, Christian Thompson, Makenna Mooney and Ryleigh-Gail Mooney.
In lieu of flowers, Cody and the family kindly request that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
