She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Lee Gunnells Sr. and Mary Lou Ballard; and her brother Grady Lee Gunnells Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Martha Diane Johnson (late Richard) and Thomas Gregory Smith (Teresa); and her grandchildren, Christopher Allan Smith (Amanda), Becky Lynn Shirley (Daniel), Chase Gregory Smith (Raven), Alyson Michele Roberts and Mercedes Lynn Headley (Ryan). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the North Shelby Baptist Church Building Fund or the First Baptist Church of Thorsby.
