He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Yvonne Thrasher; his parents, Carl Thrasher and Mary Kate Thrasher Hall; and his siblings, Cecil Thrasher and Juanita Thrasher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.
