He was predeceased by: his brother Dan Graves, Jr.; and his grandparents, Fannie Smith and James D. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Zelma Taylor Smith; his children, Chief Leon Smith, Jr. (Nicole), Quandra Locklyn, Demetrice Byrd and Carmen Smith; his mother Lucille Smith Watkins; and his siblings, Leroy Smith, Bennie Smith (Teresa), Tyrone Graves (Ledora), Roosevelt Watkins, Glenda Smith, Linda Smith, Faith Harris and Amanda Rawls. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
