She was predeceased by: her parents, Versie E. Kent and Georgia B. Owens Kent; her husband Anthony Lamar "Tony" McCartha; her son George Kent "Kenny" Stiles; and her siblings, Ricky L. Kent, Gloria Jean Kent Stone and Peggy Evonne Kent.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Murphy (Mark); her daughter-in-law Jonna V. Stiles; her siblings, Charles Kent (Julie) and Margie Kent Lane; her grandchildren, Joshua L. Parrish (Christina), Christopher W. Parrish, Landon Kent Stiles, Haley N. Murphy (Andrew Boyd) and Kayla Ann Wilson (Seth); her great grandchildren, Parker Parrish, Carter Boyd and McKenna Boyd; and her caregivers, Annie Long, Lisa Lykes, Linda Dennis, Valorie Pickett, Kim Pickett, Melissa Pickett and Shirley Thomas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Crossroads Community Church (150 Mt Hebron Rd, Elmore, AL 36025). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
