We announce the death of Sarah Ann Kent McCartha of Coosada, Alabama, who passed away on September 20, 2026. Sarah Ann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Versie E. Kent and Georgia B. Owens Kent; her husband Anthony Lamar "Tony" McCartha; her son George Kent "Kenny" Stiles; and her siblings, Ricky L. Kent, Gloria Jean Kent Stone and Peggy Evonne Kent.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Murphy (Mark); her daughter-in-law Jonna V. Stiles; her siblings, Charles Kent (Julie) and Margie Kent Lane; her grandchildren, Joshua L. Parrish (Christina), Christopher W. Parrish, Landon Kent Stiles, Haley N. Murphy (Andrew Boyd) and Kayla Ann Wilson (Seth); and her great grandchildren, Parker Parrish, Carter Boyd and McKenna Boyd. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Community Church (150 Mt Hebron Rd, Elmore, AL 36025). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the Brookside Memorial Gardens (3360 Brookside Dr, Millbrook, AL 36054).
