He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Causey and Ruby Milam Causey; his wife Charlotte Causey; his siblings, Ray Causey and Shirley Brown; and his grandson Joseph Wesson.

He is survived by: his children, Ruby Hunnicutt (Daniel), Terry A. Causey, Jr. (Marsha), Billy Wesson (Regina) and James Wesson (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yarbrough Street Baptist Church, 1701 Yarbrough St., Montgomery, AL 36110, in his memory.
