She was predeceased by: her parents, Sally Ann and Melvin P. Rutan; and her stepson Christopher Michael Garner. She is survived by: her husband Larry Garner of Cottondale; her daughters, Tammy Irey Cherry (Travis) of Pelham, AL and Brandy Irey Walker of Northport, AL; her grandchildren, Amanda Shook (Chase), Zachary Cherry (Shuanda), Zoe Cherry and Shelby Pate; her great grandchildren, Hayden Shook and Evangeline Cherry; and her sisters, Paula Sue Leppert (Erwin) of North Carolina and Trinity Rutan (Terri) of Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers that family requests that memorial donations in Mrs. Garner's honor be made to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
