With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lillian West of Cottonwood, Alabama, born in Houston, Alabama, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Austin D. Pitts and Flossie Pitts Watson; and her husband David J. West. She is survived by: her children, Beverly Knapp (David), Stanley West and Terri W. Sowell (Berry); her grandchildren, Stephanie Williamson (Pat), Mason Wright, Heath West (Lynsey), Josh West (Melissa), Colby Sowell and Casey Sowell Wolfe (Riley); her brother Wallace Pitts; and also Phyliss Sanders (Ronnie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 267 Metcalf Street, Cottonwood, AL 36320.
