He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Simms and Violet Smith Simms. He is survived by : his wife Joan Simms; his daughters, Christine Lewis (Kevin) of Albertville, Amber Kilgore (Jeff Mardis) of Altoona and Brandi Chapman (Dave) of Crossville; his grandchildren, Casey Lewis, Kevin "Austin" Lewis, Joshua Kilgore (Nellie), David Trent Chapman, Quentin Leroy Chapman and Emily Schmidt (James); his great grandchildren, Maison Simms-Schmidt and Aubrey Kilgore; his sisters, Melody Crutchfield (Debra) of Boaz and Sheila Bennett (Allen) of Crossville; and his siblings-in-law, John Burch of Arab, Carolyn Sue Horvath-Botts of Ohio and Gina Russell (Dean) of Ohio.
