He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joyce Sampson; his children, Pam Gilbert (William), Brandy Wilkins (Brandon), Stephanie Bradford, Tonya Whitehead (Timmy), Sonya Dodson (Kenny), Perry Hughes (April), Barry Hughes and Jessie Hughes (Lisa); his siblings, Donna King (Donny) and James Stanley Wilbanks (Susan); his parents, Herman Nathaniel Wilbanks and Mildred Cunningham; his grandparents, George, Sarah Wilbanks, Perry and Ida Mae Loudermilk; his siblings, John Julian Hughes (James Barry Hughes), Nancy Mae Smith, Martha Jo Shelton and Deborah Charlene Wilbanks; and his great grandchild Presley Lynn Baldwin. He was also cherished by 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
