He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Roden and Nancy Roden; and his sister Brenda Tillery (Robbie Perkins). He is survived by: his wife Bessie "Martie" Roden; his daughters, Patty Turner (Boo) and Elizabeth Roden; and his grandson David Zarlson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the W. T Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
