It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amber Parkes Whitaker McGill of Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 42, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Dianne McGill; and her grandparents, Mary Whitaker Boatright, Ruby Hines, Ottis Boatright, Curtis Whitaker, William "Bill" Hines and Danny Day.
She is survived by: her children, Kylee McGill (Paxton Buchanan) and Aiden McGill; her parents, John Whitaker (Sandra) and Kathryn Day; her sisters, Chandra Weinbel (Jason) and Leah Villeret (David); and the father of her children Sean McGill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended relatives.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up at Merchants Bank honoring Amber McGill.
