He was predeceased by: his wife Eloise Nelson Abbott; his parents, Arthur Oliver Andrew Abbott and Lena Rebecca Laney Abbott; and his siblings, Cecil Lee Abbott, J. C. Abbott, Junior Abbott, James Harley Abbott and Nellie Hildred Elizabeth Abbott.
He is survived by: his sons, Randy Abbott (Belinda), Paul Abbott (Jessica), Bruce Abbott (Kandi) and Chris Abbott (Janet). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel (461 US-278 E, Cullman, AL 35055).
