She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacy Marler and Bulah Marler; her stepfather Andew J. Wood; her sister Judy Martens; and her husband Willie "Dawl" McCurley.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Phifer (Joe Phifer) and Michael McCurley (Tammy McCurley); her grandchildren, Andrea Day (Josh Day), Daniel Thompson (Courtney Thompson) and Laramie Burnett (Lance Burnett); her great grandchildren, Karter Jarrett, Kimber Jarrett, Hayden Thompson, Barrett Thompson, Brinkley Burnett and Sawyer Burnett; and her siblings, Edith James, Jerry Wood (Pam Wood) and Alan Wood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home - Addison (32657 US-278, Addison, AL 35540). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (15765 US-278, Cullman, AL 35057).
