She was predeceased by: her parents, James LaFayette and Gertie L. Moore Graham; her husband Edgar Messersmith; and her siblings, Margaret LaFaye Graham Teichmiller, Betty Ruth Graham Woodard, Ruble Inagene Graham Livingston and James Thomas Graham.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Messersmith (Karen) of Alabaster, AL and Kathy Burnette (Wendell) of Cullman, AL; her grandchildren, Anthony Hill (Amanda) of Cullman, AL, Joshua Hill (Krissy Green) of Cullman, AL, Austin Messersmith (Anna) of Alabaster, AL, Nathan Messersmith of Alabaster, AL, Rachel Brauer of Cullman and Tonia Rogers (Randy) of Vinemont, AL; and her great grandchildren, Jennifer Jester (Bernard Gray), Alexzandria Hill, Valerie Hill, Cameron Hill, Cade Brauer, Kelsey Rogers and Clay Rogers. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and beloved friends.
