He was predeceased by: his wife Wynell Lee Cornelius McAnally; his parents, Ernest McAnally and Pearl McAnally; his siblings, Carroll McAnally and Virginia Lee; and his grandson James Salyer.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Jane Salyer Sr. (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jeff Salyer Jr. (April) and Jana Davis (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Abigail Salyer, Brantley Salyer, Vera Joiner, Chris Tarallo, Maddison White (Bailey) and Macy Willocks (Jimmy); and his great great grandchild Jeremiah Willocks.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services, North Ocoee St. Chapel (2603 N Ocoee St, Cleveland, TN 37311). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cullman City Cemetery. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
