She was predeceased by: her parents, Shelley Hyatt and Cordie Hyatt; her daughter Sonya Carol Hembree (Knight); her brother Rayford Hyatt; her husbands, Obie Knight and Billie Gene Watts; and her stepchildren, Dale, Dave, Darrel and Jeff Watts.
She is survived by: her daughter Shari Hurt (John); her grandchildren, Jason Hurt (Jessica), Amy Smith (Brent) and Joseph Hurt (Skye); her great grandchildren, Austin Hurt (Caleigh), Brinley Carol Hurt, Willa Carol Smith, Parker Hurt, Cooper Hurt and Olivia Hurt; her great great grandchild Ivy Hurt; her sons-in-law, Kerry Hembree and Grady Smith; her stepchildren, Jack Watts (Linda) and Jill Prestridge (Greg); her stepdaughters-in-law, Donna Watts and Renee Watts; and her niece Shari Hurt (John). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at the East Side Baptist Church (1111 3rd St SE, Cullman, AL 35055). A reception was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
