She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Ira Cordis Holmes; and her children, Janice Marie Holmes, David Cordis Holmes and Lisa Holmes Locklin. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A committal service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cullman City Cemetery.
She also found meaningful connection through her Alzheimer's group friends on Facebook and supported the Alzheimer's foundation, offering encouragement and companionship rooted in understanding and compassion.
