Karen Cassandra Rogers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Cassandra Rogers of Cullman, Alabama, who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Karen had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Karen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Hugh Gillis Sr. and Mary Nell Lindsey; and her husband Elwood Rogers. She is survived by: her children, Lauren "Gillis" Banks, Joshua Aker and Patrick Rogers; and her siblings, Nancy Gillis-Frame, Allen Hugh Gillis Jr. and Daniel Lindsey Gillis. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Mt. View Baptist Church (1890 Co Rd 438, Cullman, AL 35057).
