He was predeceased by: his mother Lula Pearson Garner; his wife Shirley Monk Garner; and his sisters, Jewel Smith (Floyd), Louise Hunter (Harold), Irene Golden (Adrian) and Inez Goodlett (Junior).
He is survived by: his siblings, Hubert Garner, Marie Kelly and Irma Stapler (Duel); his sons, Keith Garner (Anita) and Barry Garner (Michelle); his grandchildren, Heath Garner (Selitia), Rhianna Youmans (Derek), Brett Garner (Mckenzie), Dylan Garner (Alyssa) and Levi Garner (Molly); and his great grandchildren, Reece, Kirra, Ashlyn, Lakelyn, Oaklee and Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cullman Funeral Home (461 US-278, Cullman, AL 35055). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fairview Methodist Church (1100 Wesley Ave N, Cullman, AL 35058). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
