He was predeceased by: his parents, Boman Woods and Ora Woods; his wife Joan Little Woods; his siblings, Donald, Copal, Orval and Floree; and his siblings-in-law, Revonda Woods, Meval Woods, Betty Jane Woods, James Guthery, Carter and Looney.
He is survived by: his children, Roxanne Asherbranner (Roger) and Dueese Powell (David); his brother Ruel C Woods (Carol); his grandchildren, Cranson Asherbranner (Mary Beth) and Chance Asherbranner (Mellicha); his great grandchildren, Eli, Cheyene, Oliver and Owen; his sisters, Helen Carter and Doris Looney; and his siblings-in-law, Butch Cotterman, Lavina Little and Nina Miranda. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corinth First Congregational Methodist Church (5461 Co Rd 1101, Vinemont, AL 35179). The lying in state will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
