She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Claude; her son Richard "Don" Garrett; her parents, Benjamin McKinley Hay and Winnie Aiken Hay of Georgia; and her siblings, Ralph, Wallace Hay and Gail Blankenship.
She is survived by: her son Wallace "Benny" Garrett (Sherlene) of Dadeville; her daughter-in-law Rebecca Garrett of Alexander City; and her siblings, Clara Mae Fant of LaFayette, Phillip Wayne Hay of LaFayette and Ronnie Hay (Nippie) of Pensacola. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
