It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Oscar Pinkston (Dadeville, Alabama), who passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claudia Francis Baker Pinkston and Joseph Elijah Pinkston; his son Billy Carl Pinkston; and his siblings, Nellie Sue Smith, Winnie Mae Fowler, Marie Mann, Sarah Jo Keesey, Woodrow Pinkston, Lowell Pinkston and Gaines Pinkston.

He is survived by: his wife Glenda Jean Pinkston; his children, Kathy Pinkston, Michelle McDonald (Johnny), Joe Pinkston (Marsha), Gene Pinkston (Connie) and Jane James (Tim); his grandchildren, Hope Davis (Tyrone), Jonathon McDonald (Brittney), Ryan James, Brittni Moran (Tyler), Hallie Peters (James), Heather Branham (Marcos), Winnie Nicole Brown (Justin), Emily Webster (Logan), Michael Pinkston (Lea Lea), Mitchell Pinkston (Anna), Ricky Bolan (Amanda) and Linda Hallmark (Mikey); and his siblings, Donnie Pinkston and Wanda (Chester). He is also survived by Neighbors; 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
