We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2023, at the age of 85, Fayetta Blevins Wakefield of Danville, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenis Roscoe Blevins, Sr. and Mary Ellen Gibson Blevins; her husband George Jackson "Jack" Wakefield; and her son Arvid Wakefield. She is survived by : her children, Ronald Wakefield (JoAnne) of Lincoln Park, MI, Mark Wakefield (Deborah) of Prattville, AL, Luther Wakefield (Karen) of Danville, AL and Rhonda Barton of Danville, AL; her daughter-in-law Dawn Hinson Wakefield Mason (Michael); her siblings, Ophelia Hanson of Ecorse, MI, Geraldine Loree (Robert) of New Boston, MI, Vanessa Stone (John) of Riverview, Walter Blevins (Mary) of Allen Park, MI and John Blevins (Mary) of Sarasota, FL; and her sister-in-law Clara Blevins. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley in memory of Mrs. Wakefield or the ALS Association in memory of Arvid Wakefield.
