He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Smilie and Olivia Elizabeth "Betty" Midgette Smilie; and his wife Emily Sitterle Smilie. He is survived by: his sons, Michael Andrew Smilie (Kimberly) of Huntsville and David Matthew Smilie (Melissa) of Spanish Fort; his grandchildren, James, John David, Thomas and Luke; and his siblings, Darlene Smilie Wilson of Houston and Lawrence M. Smilie (Vivian).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calendar Christ the King Catholic Church (1505 Main St, Daphne, AL 36526). A Mass will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
A proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Chuck was affiliated with Fairhope Council 8959 and the 4th Degree Assembly 2573, where he lived out his values of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
