She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Alphonse; her parents, Johnny McCaster and Clara McGrew; her children, Jamita Alphonse and Carliss Alphonse; her grandson Raymond Jones; and her aunt Loreina McCreary.
She is survived by: her children, Claudine Jones, Gloria Barrow, Annice Sledge, Bernice Jones and Quartez Alphonse; her daughter-in-law Linda Johnson; her niece Dr. Regina Benjamin; her grandchildren, Felita Ballard (Hewitt), Joseph Barrow, Jerome Barrow (Sylver), Carliss Johnson (Courtney), Karen Johnson, Montez Alphonse, Tonya Dailey (Ray), Tanzie Shoots (Phillip), Tia Alphonse and Candise Jones; and her friend Mellerene McDonald. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church - Daphne (902 Daphne Ave, Daphne, AL 36526).
